Arcot Systems Finalist in Network Computing Awards 2008
Posted on: Friday, 1 February 2008, 09:00 CST
Arcot Systems, the leader in software-only authentication, has been named a finalist in the Network Computing Awards 2008 and its RiskFort risk-based authentication system is a nominee for the "Software Product of the Year" award. This acclaim demonstrates Arcot's recognized success among network managers and Network Computing's readership, because it was the high volume of their online nominations that led to this honor.
Online voting will determine the winners from amongst the finalists, so customers, partners and other individuals are encouraged to vote for Arcot's RiskFort as "Software Product of the Year" at http://www.networkcomputingawards.co.uk/ before voting closes on March 3rd. More than 4,000 readers and network professionals voted last year.
"Thousands of technologists turn to Network Computing for unbiased critical analysis of solutions and their impact on organizations," said Carol Alexander, vice president of marketing at Arcot Systems. "Being chosen as a finalist for a technology award from such a respected publication validates our efforts to provide strong, software-only authentication solutions that protect users in online environments."
Arcot's RiskFort reduces fraud in real time in both online portal and online shopping applications. It gathers data during the login process to monitor for suspicious activity, formulating a risk score based on the business rules and security protocols the customer has pre-defined. The risk score then determines if the transaction is to be accepted or declined, if a greater degree of authentication is required, or if customer service or network security personnel need to be notified.
