AT&T to Upgrade ACS’ Network Services
AT&T has entered into a new three-year networking contract with Applied Computer Solutions to upgrade its virtual private network services.
AT&T says it will supply Applied Computer Solutions (ACS) with a virtual private network (VPN) system to improve bandwidth speeds, which will satisfy networking demands and sustain VoIP infrastructure.
The scalable system will support the future implementation of the AT&T BusinessDirect portal, a web service for personalized, secure, anytime access to detailed information regarding critical network services. The future implementation will enable ACS to view, analyze and pay its bill online.
Craig Harrington, manager of information systems at Applied Computer Solutions, said: “We’re confident that AT&T’s solution will not only meet our needs for cost-effective, reliable data transport across a unified platform but will also provide the flexibility to expand our custom solution as our networking needs grow.”
