New Zoom Paper Describes How to Use Bluetooth(R) to Move Pictures, Music, and Outlook Contact Names Between a Mobile Phone and a Computer

Posted on: Monday, 4 February 2008, 12:00 CST

Zoom Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZOOM) today published on their web site a detailed description of how to easily move pictures, music, and Outlook contact names between a mobile phone and a computer using Bluetooth wireless capability. The phone must have built-in Bluetooth, and the computer must have Bluetooth either built into the computer or added by way of a low-cost Bluetooth USB adapter.

With the proper Bluetooth and hardware, moving pictures, music, and contacts is a simple "drag and drop" operation. You can easily take a picture using a Bluetooth phone and move it to your computer, or move pictures from your computer onto your phone. You can also move music from a computer to your phone's MP3 player. Similarly, it's easy to select contacts from your computer's Outlook and to move them and their phone numbers into your phone's contact list, or to move contacts from your phone's contact list into Outlook. A detailed "How To" and useful Bluetooth information are provided in the new paper, "How to use Bluetooth(R) to move pictures, music, and contact names between your mobile phone and your computer," available at www.zoom.com/graphics/datasheets/bluetooth/BlueTooth_HowTo.pdf

Zoom makes Bluetooth USB adapters that are ideally suited to this application. They are the Class 1 USB Adapter Model 4311 (estimated $26.99 retail) and the Class 2 USB Adapter Model 4321 (estimated $22.99 retail). These are described at www.zoom.com/products/bluetooth_overview.html. They are part of a complete, coordinated Bluetooth product line shown at www.zoom.com/graphics/prod_shots/BT_RackDisplay.jpg. Zoom's products are available at leading retailers in the US, UK, and other countries.
