Ounce Labs, the industry leader in software risk analysis, today announced its participation in ‘Ready for IBM Rational Software Comes to You’ webinar series. Ounce will present ‘Secure at the Source,’ which will offer participants information about how Ounce 5 source code analysis can be implemented seamlessly with the IBM Rational Software Delivery platform, delivering a closed loop of discovery, remediation and informed dashboards, with the ultimate result of providing security governance for software development teams.

Automated source code analysis is widely recognized as the most effective method of security testing early in the life cycle, ensuring that security is assessed in an iterative method, throughout the lifecycle. The results of implementing source code analysis early and often are twofold: reduced costs in eliminating issues earlier and secure applications from day one deployment.

“We are very excited about our business partners’ involvement in the ‘Ready for IBM Rational Software Comes to You’ series,” said Brett Hansen, Program Director, Rational Business Partner and Community Marketing. “With the market demand for application security guidance, IBM and our business partners, including Ounce Labs, are committed to building awareness for best practices and leading products that will help our customers to extend security throughout the application development lifecycle.”

The webinar will focus on the following topics:

— Why source code analysis is important for software governance and how the integration of Rational and Ounce automates software security governance, enabling the team to more effectively meet project milestones, regulatory requirements and reduce overall risk;

— The specific software security objectives and milestones that should be met for each phase of Rational Unified Process (RUP); and

— A discussion about how the Rational Software Delivery Platform is uniquely integrated with Ounce 5 source code analysis, including integration into the nightly build and developer desktops.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, February 13th at 12:00 p.m. ET. For more information and to register go to: https://events.webdialogs.com/Portal/WipEvents/register.php?id=a97fd5cb8a5ad17b57a920578dcb9948&sourceID.
