Flash Networks, a provider of mobile internet solutions, has partnered with F5 Networks's Viprion application delivery controller with its mobile internet platforms, to enable browsing through mobile devices.
According to F5, Viprion's traffic management and load balancing capabilities enable more mobile internet traffic to be processed in the same amount of time and for all users to have a faster response time. Viprion provides a scalable chassis and blade architecture and performance of 36G of L7 throughput and 200,000 SSL transactions per second. F5 has reported that Viprion routes all mobile internet data traffic to Flash Networks' platforms for optimization while preventing bottlenecks and service delays by evenly allocating network load between several network servers.
Eli Mahal, vice president of marketing at Flash Networks, said: "The recent boost in mobile internet traffic is putting tremendous pressure on network resources. Response time is the number one factor for customer satisfaction for web browsing. F5's Viprion application delivery controller provides the extra speed and high availability that gives our mobile internet solutions a competitive edge."
