Jamba, one of the world’s leading providers of digital entertainment, has teamed up with 1&1, one of Germany’s leading ISP with over 7 million customer contracts, to bring Jamba’s already established, and much-acclaimed music channel into consumers’ living rooms through 1&1′s MediaCenter.

The partnership allows Jamba to take its music offering beyond mobiles and PCs and now directly onto consumers’ TVs and stereos in the home. It brings Jamba’s digital entertainment content channels to five: Web and WAP, application for mobile handsets and PCs, and now 1&1 MediaCenter.

Currently only available to German consumers, the Jamba Music channel enables 1&1 MediaCenter customers to access On-Demand-Content from a vast collection of over 1.5 million songs as well as their personal music collection and playlists at the touch of a button. Consumers simply scroll through their music on the TV screen and effortlessly point and click to choose their tracks to listen to top quality music directly on their stereo.

Access to the full Jamba Music catalogue will be free for the first three months for all 1&1 MediaCenter customers. Following this, consumers will be able to subscribe to an “access all areas” model for only €9.99/month or can purchase single downloads starting at €0.79.

“This partnership diversifies Jamba’s reach into a whole new channel and allows millions more consumers to enjoy music from Jamba,” said Mauro Montanaro, Chief Executive Officer at Jamba. “As the digital world converges, Jamba can now be seen across all the major entertainment platforms allowing consumers to access quality music sitting in their living room, in front of their PC or whilst on the move with their mobiles,” Jamba’s Chief Operating Officer Lee Fenton added.

“The Jamba Music channel on the 1&1 MediaCenter brings a strong music offering to our customers’ living rooms, it’s simple and easy to use and comes at a great price,” said Andreas Gauger, CEO of 1&1 Internet. “We decided to partner with Jamba as its vast music collection fits perfectly with our flat rate product line.”
