Open Text Upgrades Digital Asset Management Software

February 14, 2008

Enterprise content management software provider Open Text has released the latest version of its Artesia digital asset management software.

It said Artesia DAM 6.8 offers web services, enhanced search, broader video support, and a graphical metadata configuration tool. As well as the streamlined interface and workflow of earlier versions, it also provides web service interfaces that allow interoperability with .NET and Java clients.

In addition, it offers enhanced video logging, transcoding, video review, annotations, and control of video shots. There is a video export facility, and broadcast video storage is integrated through Front Porch Digital’s DIVArchive. It also contains desktop plug-ins that support Adobe Indesign and Illustrator.

Scott Bowen, president of Open Text’s Artesia digital media group, said: “Whether talking to marketing directors or network programmers, we’ve found customers consistently asking for the features that 6.8 now delivers.”
