ANNAPOLIS, Md., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- CollabraSpace, a leading provider of web-based collaboration solutions for government organizations and private entities, today announced that the company has joined the BEA Systems Partner Program at the Select Partner level. With this partnership, CollabraSpace's CollabraSuite(TM) capabilities can now be extended through the BEA WebLogic Platform(TM), which is designed to offer a single, unified, easy-to-use infrastructure platform for application development, integration, deployment, and management.
"We chose to partner with BEA based on their proven ability to provide an application infrastructure that is designed to be secure, reliable and scalable - an imperative in our mission of developing web-based team collaboration tools that are customizable and able to be rapidly deployed," said Ray Schwemmer, CollabraSpace president and CEO. "This partnership can further serve our enterprise growth strategy by helping to leverage BEA technology and enhance our capabilities to help solve business issues for our customers."
CollabraSpace tools and technologies are designed to accommodate custom collaboration solutions. Each tool can be configured as a separate component and combined in a way that makes sense for individual organizations. Collectively, the components are known as CollabraSuite, a set of graphical building blocks that can be used in a web-based portal or to create a Java application.
CollabraSuite V3.4 features enhanced audio/video capabilities, superior security on document sharing, retrieval and storage, and an undocking feature to improve mobility options. Additional individual components of CollabraSuite include: instant messaging, navigation, paging, online user display, whiteboarding, and a lightweight HTML-style note editor.
BEA Systems WebLogic(TM) and Tuxedo(R) applications are designed to help further enable companies to improve business responsiveness through service- oriented architecture (SOA), a software design approach that can more closely align IT with business objectives.
CollabraSpace also recently announced its certification by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) to be included in the Defense Collaboration Tool Suite (DCTS) for use on Department of Defense (DoD) networks.
