Oki Optical Partners With Kotura to Bring Next Generation Products

Oki Optical Components, a provider of high speed optical and IC components, has partnered with Kotura, a provider of silicon photonic components, to bring next generation products to the market place.
Oki Optical Components is planning to introduce a 10G APD receiver with integrated VOA for metro applications. The silicon photonics VOA with the fastest response time claims to enable the receiver to support a wide range of new applications.
Tamotsu Kimura, general manager of Oki Optical Components, said: "We are excited to be working together with Kotura to develop advanced products utilizing Kotura Silicon photonic platform. Our customers will benefit from having the close cooperation between OKI and Kotura."
