Other notable online successes among presidential candidates:
Hillary Clinton: Turned an army of social-networking contacts into an outreach campaign of cell phone callers.
John Edwards: Cultivated a following among liberal bloggers, and was one of the first candidates to hire popular bloggers.
Ron Paul: Pioneered “money bombs,” and set a one-day online fundraising haul of $6 million last year.
Mike Huckabee: Working with a tight budget, generated high traffic on his Web site by welcoming user-generated videos.
John McCain: Became a leader in search advertising, buying thousands of keywords on search portals to lure users to his campaign site.
