Disturbed to Participate in Operation MySpace -- An Exclusive Concert for U.S. Troops in Kuwait on March 10th

In a show of their great respect for the troops serving in the Middle East, best-selling hard-rock band Disturbed will travel to Kuwait on March 10th to participate in Operation MySpace, a ground-breaking live concert event hosted by the social-networking website MySpace.
Disturbed, which is frontman David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren and bassist John Moyer, are gearing up to release their fourth album, "Indestructible," which they self-produced, due out in Spring on Reprise Records. Known for their punishingly powerful music and Draiman's passionate, socially conscious lyrics, Disturbed has sold a collective 10 million copies worldwide of their three albums -- 2000's RIAA-certified triple-platinum "The Sickness," 2002's Billboard album chart-topper "Believe," and their second consecutive Number One "Ten Thousand Fists" -- since forming in Chicago in 1996.
Of performing in Kuwait for the troops, Draiman says, "We are proud to bring strength and support to those who support us with their strength." Wengren adds, "We look forward to play for the troops to show them our support for the sacrifices they make to keep us safe." Donegan explains, "We've been talking about wanting to perform for the troops for a long time, and feel there's no better way to pay our respects than to bring the show to them!" Moyer notes, "We have waited a long time for the honor to play for the people who safeguard our freedom."
Designed to bring the troops serving in Kuwait a taste of home, the three-hour concert, which also features host Carlos Mencia and performances by Chris Cornell, Jessica Simpson, Filter, and DJ Z-Trip, will be streamed in high-definition flash at 11 a.m. PDT/ 2 p.m. EDT exclusively on the official Operation MySpace profile at http://myspace.com/operationmyspace. Disturbed fans and other members of the MySpace community will be able to show their support for those serving overseas by posting videos and messages via the site's video blog section. In addition, a condensed one-hour version of the show, featuring the best moments, will be broadcast nationally on the FX television network on April 12th.
