SparkIP Unveils New Site Features at Association of University Technology Managers Annual Meeting

SparkIP, an online intellectual property (IP) network for the scientific community, today announced the addition of several new site features at the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) Annual Meeting from February 28 -- March 1 in San Diego. SparkIP's additional site capabilities provide users with more user friendly tools to assist in their daily research of intellectual property, new technologies and innovations.
SparkIP also announced that Imperial College in the UK and the University of Utah have begun posting licensable technologies to SparkIP.com bringing the total number of listings on the site to over 5,900. After launching in October, 2007, SparkIP is already the largest actively-managed IP marketplace in the world.
SparkIP's database of intellectual property is a popular destination for corporations, universities, government labs, patent attorneys, individual researchers/inventors, and anyone else conducting scientific research. Key new features include allowing users to directly post licensable technologies on the site and enhanced searching via the inclusion of US patent applications that are fully integrated into the SparkClusterTM maps. Other improvements include a refreshed set of technology listings from current partner institutions.
