MENLO PARK, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Matt Kleinschmit -- a leader in understanding new media, digital technology, and consumer connections to advertising -- has joined Knowledge Networks as Vice President, Client Service. He will be based in the company's Chicago office.
"Matt brings to KN an extraordinary knowledge of media and a demonstrated commitment to top-quality client service," said Maura Clancey, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Knowledge Networks media group. "He is a presence in the industry and has shown initiative in tackling forward-thinking subjects -- such as digital media behavior -- in innovative ways. Matt is also well grounded in the fundamentals of brand and product research."
Kleinschmit was previously a Vice President of the Ipsos Chicago Technology and Media practice, where he directed custom client business and also designed, executed, and marketed TEMPO, a syndicated research program that has measured consumers' digital music behavior since 1999, and MOTION, a companion service tracking emerging digital video behavior.
A thought leader in digital media trends, Kleinschmit raised Ipsos Chicago's public profile and expanded the technology practice through appearances in international publications and at key conferences. In addition to digital media and technology behavior, Kleinschmit's research specialties include market assessment, global brand management, and product development and optimization.
From 1997 to 2000, Kleinschmit was an early member of the U.S. expansion of the Angus Reid Group, where he was involved in the first quantitative, primary research initiative examining Internet behaviors in 30 countries worldwide. The Angus Reid Group was acquired by Ipsos in 1999.
