Tri-State Deploys Mirage’s Network Access Control Solution
Network access control solutions provider Mirage Networks has announced that the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association has deployed its network access control solution to protect against rapidly propagating network attacks.
Tri-State, a wholesale electric power supplier, was concerned that worms and viruses could propagate throughout its network and cause serious network down time and losses in productivity.
Mirage’s full-cycle network access control (NAC) technology reportedly enables maximum network performance by controlling network access, monitoring network behavior, isolating non-compliant endpoints and providing self-remediation capabilities.
Joe Dunn, IT operations and network manager for Tri-State, said: “Tri-State is scrupulous about all aspects of security, which naturally includes network health and availability. Mirage’s effectiveness at stopping zero-day threats and other network malware made its NAC solution an intuitive fit. Furthermore, the solution proved easy to deploy and use both at the administrative office and our widely distributed power plants.”
