Separate Jails for School Plot Conspirators
By SYDNEY SCHWARTZ
PLYMOUTH – Two former Marshfield High School students behind bars for plotting an armed assault on the school have been separated to prevent them from meeting up in jail.
Joseph Nee, 21, began his nine-month sentence at Plymouth County jail earlier this month but has been transferred to a jail in Billerica. That’s because his co-conspirator in the school-attack plan, Tobin Kerns, 19, is finishing up a 10-month sentence in Plymouth.
The two friends were members of a group that called itself the “Natural Born Killers” when they were students at Marshfield High. They devised plans to take revenge on enemies by locking down the school, detonating explosives and shooting people.
The plan fell apart when Kerns and Nee began fighting and turned on one another.
