Overstock.Com Picks Bradford Networks' NAC Director for Network Access Control
Posted on: Tuesday, 11 March 2008, 12:00 CDT
Bradford Networks, an award-winning provider of comprehensive network access control (NAC) solutions, announced today that Overstock.com, Inc. has selected NAC Director to secure its corporate network. Overstock selected NAC Director because of its speedy deployment and easily deployed role-based access control capabilities for all of its desktop operating systems -- Windows, Mac, and Linux.
By deploying NAC Director, which is being phased in this quarter, Overstock's internal network will better support the corporate culture of collaboration and openness. When the NAC Director rollout is complete, employees will automatically have access to applications and network data based on their identity and job requirements.
"NAC Director helps us solve a workflow issue. We can now have our developers sit with their in-house clients. We want free access to anyone in the company," said Bear Terburg, Manager of Network Engineering, Overstock.com. "NAC Director's role-based access control allows us to foster a more collaborative environment that will result in better customer service."
In addition to improving overall network security, Overstock will improve its compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements, which recommends a NAC solution to meet its stringent controls and auditing processes.
"NAC Director's user-centric approach provides Overstock and other enterprises with flexible tools to secure existing networks in a non-intrusive way that can enhance employee productivity," said Mike Gadoury, Bradford Networks founder and CEO.
Bradford Networks has pioneered advanced NAC solutions since 2002 and helps solve network access control challenges facing education, healthcare, financial services, government and other organizations by securing wired, wireless, and VPN networks.
