Posted on: Wednesday, 19 March 2008, 15:00 CDT

LOS ANGELES, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Screen Actors Guild Foundation and Idearc Media Corp., home to Superpages.com and publisher of the Verizon(R) Yellow Pages, announce the completion of the fourth season of Storyline Online (http://www.storylineonline.net/).

The new season, made possible through a $95,000 grant from Idearc Media Corp., stars CCH Pounder (ER, The Shield), Caitlyn Wachs (Commander in Chief, My Dog Skip), Pamela Reed (Kindergarten Cop, Jericho) and Robert Guillaume (Benson, Sports Night).

The current stories feature celebrities including Jane Kaczmarek, Bradley Whitford, Sean Astin, Esai Morales, Amanda Bynes, Al Gore, and Elijah Wood reading quality children's picture books using the widely accepted reading-aloud strategy. The site currently receives over one-million views per month from educators, parents and children around the world.

"It is a wonderful opportunity for actors to volunteer their time and talent, contributing to a child's education and imagination. We are grateful for the support from Idearc Media Corp.," said Marcia Smith, Screen Actors Guild Foundation Executive Director.

These imaginatively produced videos fully capture the intricate illustrations, colors and textures of each book. Storyline Online also features a supplemental curriculum developed by an early literacy specialist. Together, the videos and related curriculum strengthen comprehension, verbal and written skills of English language learners worldwide. Available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, free of charge, Storyline Online ensures that every child who has access to an Internet connection can be exposed to a story.

"Parents, like me, and teachers are looking to the Internet for educational, safe sites that have quality content for their children," said Robyn Rose, Vice President of Marketing for Superpages.com. "That's why we support Storyline Online. And kids love it too because it is fun. We encourage everyone to go to http://www.storylineonline.net/ and see this wonderful site for themselves."
