ForeScout Technologies Offers Buyback Program to Replace Lockdown Networks NAC Appliances
Posted on: Monday, 24 March 2008, 12:00 CDT
CUPERTINO, Calif., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- ForeScout Technologies, the leading provider of clientless network access control (NAC) for Fortune 500 enterprises and government organizations, today announced a buyback program designed to help customers successfully continue forward with their NAC strategies by replacing NAC appliances purchased from Lockdown Networks (which announced it has ceased operations as of March 18).
The ForeScout Buyback Program offers customers a direct credit per appliance based upon the specific CounterACT (http://www.forescout.com/nac) replacement appliance(s) selected. This program will be available through June 30, 2008.
"We're introducing this Lockdown buyback program to ensure customers strengthen their confidence in NAC technology. Vendors who cannot fulfill their promises simply do not have the right solution to meet customer's demands. ForeScout wants to assist those customers who understand the value of NAC protection but are now left with an unsupported platform," said Gord Boyce, president of ForeScout.
CounterACT is the leader in clientless network access control. In the 2007 Network World roundup test (http://www.forescout.com/products/product_reviews.html), CounterACT ranked above NAC solutions from Lockdown, Juniper, ConSentry, StillSecure, Check Point, Vernier, Bradford, Trend Micro, Info Express, Cisco and McAfee.
"This program offers a way forward to achieve a full NAC deployment with an in-field, proven solution that works," continued Boyce. "With a growing number of customers and thousands of appliances deployed globally in production networks, we are confident in the future of NAC and our ability to continue to gain market share against Cisco. ForeScout is here to stay!"
