Dell Teams With Aruba Networks to Offer Mobility Solutions

Posted on: Wednesday, 26 March 2008, 09:00 CDT

Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions, today announced an agreement with Dell to offer customers mobility solutions that help simplify wireless network planning and implementation services. Dell will offer Aruba's full product line to healthcare, federal government, state and local government and primary, secondary and higher education customers.

"Aruba's innovative Adaptive Radio Management technology automates wireless planning, and Dell Services help simplify and lower the cost of wireless upgrades," said Mark Horan, a vice president for Dell's Education and State and Local Government division.

School districts use wireless LANs to enhance the classroom experience, address state and local technology initiatives, and improve the efficiency of district administration. There are also significant cost and security benefits associated with using wireless LAN infrastructure for voice and video surveillance applications.

"Dell's focus on simplifying IT for customers aligns with our commitment to provide simple, reliable and secure wireless solutions," said Tim Colby, Aruba's director of strategic partnerships. "Aruba takes the guesswork out of network set-up, maintenance, and expansion by automatically and continuously optimizing performance. Add an access point, add 802.11n support, add voice and video -- and the network will adapt itself. This capability simplifies life for integrators and ensures an excellent end user experience day in and day out."
