Audiopoint of Rockville and EarthLink of Atlanta Give Their Subscribers a New Service

Audiopoint Inc., of Rockville, a provider of speech recognition software and services, and EarthLink Inc., of Atlanta, one of the largest Internet service providers in the U.S., announced an agreement that will give EarthLink’s subscribers the ability to refine their own personalized News and Information Services, including local news and weather reports and stock quotes, using Audiopoint’s Personal Voice Portal speech application service. With the new service, telephone users are able to gain Internet access and retrieve information via a voice-activated menu system.
