AT&T has signed a two-year contract with Corning, a provider of specialty glass and ceramics, to provide international voice, video and teleconferencing, calling-card and toll-free services to more than 120 Corning locations worldwide.
AT&T International Voice, which employs switching and transport networks with multiple levels of breadth and depth, will help ensure that all calls throughout AT&T's global network are secure and reliable. Further support will be provided by AT&T's Network Operations Center, which will monitor and manage the network 24/7.
The company claims that with AT&T Direct Toll-Free service, Corning can use its US toll-free number both domestically and internationally, further simplifying the calling experience for employees.
Tom Blumer, senior vice president of procurement and transportation at Corning, said: "AT&T's advanced global network will allow our offices, employees and customers to easily communicate, regardless of their location in the world. We look forward to enhancing our international calling capabilities with AT&T."
