Group Intelligence Collaborates With AMD to Provide an Online Guide to Joint IBM-AMD Solutions
Posted on: Monday, 7 April 2008, 09:00 CDT
Group Intelligence Inc. today announced plans to deploy its web enabled solution sales and marketing platform, called Solutionize™, for Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD). Solutionize will be used by AMD as a rich media information repository that illustrates the role that AMD technologies play in the complex ecosystem of IBM WebSphere™ enabled solutions. The project is part of a strategic initiative associated with AMD's Charter-level Sponsorship of the Global WebSphere Community (www.websphere.org), a 22,000+ member community of customers and business partners involved with IBM's WebSphere Software brand. AMD will leverage the extensive capabilities of Group Intelligence's Solutionize platform to deliver unique and informative knowledge base of AMD-based solutions including SOA, ERP Assurance Monitoring, RFID, E-mail Archiving, and Balanced Warehousing to WebSphere customers and partners. Since the Solutionize platform allows licensed partners throughout the value chain to dynamically 'link in' any relevant product or service information, this initiative will help AMD dramatically extend its marketing reach while enabling partners to more effectively represent AMD processor-based solutions within the context of their own value-added position. The result will be a Partner Social Network for joint IBM-AMD solutions.
Peter C. Watts, CEO and co-founder of Group Intelligence commented: "This is an important step for our company in delivering a solutions focused, go-to-market enabler to key IT alliances such as IBM and AMD. Solutionize is proven in transforming sales and marketing, accelerating new channel development with real time enablement, and substantially enhancing the customer engagement experience."
"AMD views Solutionize as a valuable way to strengthen the partnerships within the AMD and IBM partner community," said Pamela Boyd, director, IBM Software Group Alliance for AMD. "We are excited to work with Group Intelligence to bring this tool to market through our sponsored partner social networks."
In addition to their sponsorship of the Global WebSphere Community, AMD also sponsors several of the other user group communities built around IBM's Software product families, including the Global Rational User Group Community (www.rational-ug.org) and the Tivoli Software Global User Group Community (www.tivoli-ug.org). These communities, along with other collaborative technology communities, are managed by Group Intelligence.
