Best of Bands Officially Launches Their Music Social Networking Site, BestofBands.Com

An online resource has finally come along that caters to the independent music industry. A dream sprung to life by its co-founders Tyler Buhl and Philippe (Phil) Carrier, the Best of Bands website separates itself from music industry recording labels only interested in financial gain and is an Internet haven solely devoted to the artists and their music.

Buhl and Carrier began their business relationship in 1999 after connecting on their love for music -- striking an instant bond that was merely the beginning of a dream. Buhl had worked for one of the top music labels in the recording industry for more than 20 years and had witnessed many artists fighting for their careers and contracts. Carrier, a Switzerland native, was visiting New York City at the time he met Buhl. Following Carrier's return back to Switzerland, he continued to listen to Buhl's vision of starting a company for the starving artist. After some thought and a lot of persistence, Carrier moved to the United States and landed an investor that would allow Best of Bands to come to fruition.

Now a full-fledged entity and resource for more than 440 artists around the world, Best of Bands has become the ideal networking site for artists, venues, businesses, music conferences and most importantly, the fans. Each free, personalized page provides the option to include a logo, profile photo, photo gallery slide show, music play list, text box for a business profile or biography, contact information, a link to a different website and a place to post blogs.
