CipherLab Adds User-Friendly Features and Adaptability to the 8500 Wireless Industrial Mobile Computer

CipherLab, a leading innovator in Automated Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) for the retail, warehouse and distribution markets, today unveiled the newly upgraded CipherLab 8500 Industrial Mobile Computer. This Bluetooth and Wi-Fi compatible handheld now offers a familiar graphical user interface (GUI) similar to Microsoft® Windows® and other comparable operating systems, complete with pop-ups and system dialogs, at a fraction of the cost. When compared with other terminals using similar applications, the 8500 delivers up to 160 percent more work per battery charge, increased reliability, an ultra-readable LCD display for multi-environment use and reduced vulnerability to viruses and other security problems.
The CipherLab 8500 now features:
Pop-up touch keypad for easy alpha-numeric data entry
Inline message box functionality for user notification
Understandable system dialog boxes for monitoring performance
Industry leading battery life of up to 32 hours in Wi-Fi mode, 400 hours in batch mode
