Vangard Voice Systems Partners With AccuCode, Leader in Enterprise Mobile Computing and Data Collection
Posted on: Wednesday, 9 April 2008, 15:00 CDT
Vangard Voice Systems Inc. announced an OEM agreement with AccuCode Inc. to distribute Vangard's innovative AccuSpeech Technology to its enterprise customers. AccuSpeech is the only easy-to-deploy software technology that voice-enables new and existing enterprise-wide mobile data collection applications, especially complex data transactions. AccuCode is a leading software developer, integrator and value-added reseller specializing in the application of mobile computing and automated data collection (bar code and RFID) technologies. AccuCode's proven services, expertise and technologies are used across the enterprise by Fortune-Class customers.
"The adoption of Automated Data Collection (ADC) and mobile computing for field sales, field services and inspection applications continues to grow rapidly," commented Kevin Price, founder and chief executive officer of AccuCode. "Vangard's AccuSpeech Technology is a singular software technology that can enable voice-directed, complex data capture throughout the enterprise. In tandem with AccuCode's other proven ADC technologies, AccuSpeech will help us further optimize enterprise operation for our customers."
With this agreement, AccuCode, using Vangard's AccuSpeech Technology, can voice-enable customer mobile applications with the most feature-rich, sophisticated requirements for complex data transactions. This level of sophisticated voice-enabling is not possible today with traditional technologies limited by simple data collection scripts, universal vocabularies and basic implementation of text-to-speech/speech-to-text (TTS/STT) capabilities. Empowered by the non-proprietary nature of AccuSpeech, rich voice-enabled mobile applications can reside virtually anywhere in the enterprise -- from the warehouse to retail, mobile field operations to CRM and ERP. AccuSpeech can voice-enable data-collection applications wherever the supply chain can leverage mobile workers using voice to execute complex data transactions -- applications not typically ideal for bar code scanning and RFID technology alone.
"We're pleased that AccuCode has chosen to partner with Vangard to extend AIDC capabilities with rich, pervasive voice data capture," said Bob Bova, president and chief executive officer of Vangard Voice Systems. "With our AccuSpeech Technology and AccuCode's proven expertise, voice-enabled mobile applications will become as commonplace, and as indispensable as bar code scanning and RFID technologies."
