Sharper Image Chairman Wants to Buy Company

Sharper Image Corp. says its chairman, Jerry W. Levin, will resign to pursue a possible acquisition of the beleaguered specialty electronics retailer. San Francisco-based Sharper Image, which filed for bankruptcy protection in February, says Levin will step down, effective immediately, and will work with other investors to buy some or all of the company.
