Verimatrix Content Security Strengthens Comverse's IPTV Solution

NAB2008 -- Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, today announced that it has integrated the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS(TM)) for IPTV into the Comverse IPTV solution. Andorran Telecommunications Service (STA) is the first operator to deploy the fully integrated Verimatrix-Comverse IPTV solution to expand its triple play services offering into television.

STA, provider of fixed, mobile, data and value-added telecommunication services in the Principality of Andorra, will be delivering live broadcast and on-demand IPTV over its new fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The Andorran Telecommunications Service (STA) is constituted as a public law entity, with its own legal personality and autonomous organization.

The STA's principal role is the management and exploitation, exclusively in Andorran territory, of telecommunications services in general -- fixed telephones, mobile telephones, data transmission, Internet and other auxiliary or supplementary telecommunication services -- including matters referring to international communications.
