CosmoCom Powers France Telecom's Multi-Channel Contact Center Offer

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 2003--France Telecom, the dominant telecommunications provider in France, has launched a hosted contact center offering for its business customers called Contact Multicanal (Multi-Channel Contact). Based on CosmoCall Universe, CosmoCom's next generation all-IP contact center platform, the new service was announced at SECA 2003 in Paris, and is one of the first implementations of contact center on-demand in France. Several customers are already using the service in production mode.
Contact Multicanal makes multimedia, multi-channel customer care available "on-demand" via network-based infrastructure. By subscribing to this service, companies can implement contact centers without making large initial capital investments and without incurring the ongoing maintenance costs of an in-house platform.
The service encompasses the three main contact channels in use today: telephone calls, e-mail messages, and web chat sessions. Customers benefit because a single multi-channel system is inherently more efficient than the separate single-channel systems that most contact centers use now. The solution is flexible and highly scalable, offering customers the ability to grow and evolve as needed, while providing FT a new source of profitable revenue.
"CosmoCom specializes in enabling network service providers to provide feature-rich, on-demand contact center services using our network-based platform," said Ari Sonesh, CosmoCom's CEO. "We are pleased and proud to add France Telecom to the growing community of top tier network service providers who are offering services based on our products."
