Microsoft and EBSnet Collaborate On .NET Micro Framework
Microsoft has announced that the EBSnet Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol stack is included as a component of the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework 2.5.
Microsoft said that with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol stack (TCP/IP), the .NET Micro Framework is delivering on the vision of helping to create new business opportunities for developers that build solutions for small network-enabled devices, by allowing them to communicate with the internet.
Colin Miller, product unit manager of the .NET Micro Framework at Microsoft, said: “Since its launch early last year, the .NET Micro Framework has gained momentum with developers, bringing modern tools and paradigms to embedded development within an ever-expanding partner ecosystem. The technology licensed from EBSnet allows us to provide developers with even more opportunities to drive connected experiences and product differentiation on resource-constrained devices.”
