Alcatel Launches Network Solution Customized for Japanese Market

Alcatel-Lucent has released a Japanese language user interface for its 5620 Service Aware Manager, an integrated network and service management solution for converged IP/ethernet/MPLS multiservice networks.
The 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM) is expected to help service providers address challenge of maintaining operational quality while converging their network infrastructures and introducing advanced IP-based services to businesses, customers and residential subscribers.
According to Alcatel-Lucent, the 5620 SAM is a single management platform offering element, network and service management for advanced layer two and layer three network solutions and services based on its converged IP, ethernet and MPLS networking portfolio.
Daniel Hua, vice president of IP business in Asia Pacific at Alcatel-Lucent, said: "The Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM has been adopted by service providers around the world for cost-effective IP services creation, provision and assurance. It is now customized for our Japanese customers which is concrete evidence of Alcatel-Lucent's commitment and investment in this market."
