Oce Appoints Marketing Leadership for Two North American Divisions

CHICAGO, March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oce , a global leader in digital printing and imaging solutions, today announced new marketing leadership for two North American divisions. Effective immediately, Joyce Virnich and Sal Sheikh have been appointed Vice Presidents of Marketing for Oce Digital Document Systems (DDS) and Oce Wide Format Printing Systems (WFPS), respectively. These appointments recognize their marketing leadership and contributions across various divisions in the U.S. and internationally.

Joyce Virnich becomes Vice President, Marketing for the Digital Document Systems (DDS) division of Oce North America, reporting to DDS President Mal Baboyian. In her new role, Joyce will drive all product and segment marketing strategies for Oce's extensive line of cut sheet and continuous feed digital printing devices and the Oce PRISMA integrated family of productive workflow software, Joyce will be based in Boca Raton, FL, where DDS is headquartered.
Since 1996, Joyce has been Vice President, Marketing, for the WFPS division of Oce North America. In this role Joyce led marketing strategy and execution for Oce's hardware, software, and consulting services for its technical documentation business and large format color graphics printing businesses.
Joyce has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience with Oce in the USA and at Oce's worldwide headquarters in The Netherlands. She has also served as Regional Sales Manager, West Coast for the Document Printing division and various US marketing responsibilities for wide format.
Joyce has also held key product and marketing positions with Xerox Engineering Systems. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University.
Sal Sheikh has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing for the WFPS division of Oce North America reporting to WFPS President Patrick Chapuis. In his new role, Sal will drive and implement all product and segment marketing strategies for the large format technical documentation systems and display graphics businesses. Sal will be based in Chicago, where WFPS is headquartered.
Sal was formerly Director, Product Marketing for WFPS, where he was responsible for marketing Oce's low volume products within the line of Oce TDS multi-function printing and scanning devices and the WFPS reseller channel. He also handled U.S. marketing for Oce Display Graphic Systems (ODGS) large format color inkjet and photo laser printers in addition to color management software.
Sal began his career with Oce eight years ago at Oce U.K., where he was a Product Manager responsible for low volume products and the U.K. reseller channel. He was then named International Market Manager at Oce's worldwide headquarters in The Netherlands, where he managed the launch of the Oce 9600 and Oce TDS600 multifunction systems. In 2001 Sal was promoted to Director, Marketing, WFPS in the USA.
Prior to joining Oce, Sal spent seven years with ESAB U.K. Ltd., a British welding company. He has a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a master's degree in Engineering and Management.
