PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The fastest growing Ethernet Network Service Provider, Neopolitan Networks, Inc., today announced availability of fixed wireless services with coverage throughout the Silicon Valley. The Bay Area backbone fiber network is comprised of more than 120 miles of network. Neopolitan's fixed wireless services extend its architecture and addressable market to businesses in the Silicon Valley.
"This is an innovative solution and one that's very difficult to engineer," said Frank R. Robles, CEO of Neopolitan Networks. "But more importantly it opens up the market by placing cost efficient, high-performance connectivity solutions within everyone's reach."
With the addition of a wireless component, the addressable market for metropolitan networking solutions estimated to be $4 billion by 2004, according to Forrester Research, is multiplied 5X. This means that most small, medium and enterprise businesses will now have access to high-speed Ethernet, a connectivity option previously not available.
Andrew Gardner, CEO BAJobs, a Redwood City, CA-based company, said, "We recently replaced business DSL with Neopolitan's wireless service. Not only was our system up and running in less than 24 hours, Neopolitan's services in terms of performance and reliability far surpass what we experienced using other providers."
Neopolitan's new fixed wireless option provides secure proprietary microwave transmission and eliminates an organization's exposure to the high cost of fiber installation. As always Neopolitan's network continues to be end-to-end Ethernet, eliminating the need to purchase expensive routing equipment. Neopolitan's fiber and fixed wireless solutions in combination with the recently announced Ceterus' copper alternative means Neopolitan offers customers the widest variety of alternatives for Ethernet MAN/WAN services available in the market today. The net result is hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential saving to medium/small businesses for enterprise-class connectivity.
