Leading Data Solutions and Services Provider Selects NEC's Intel Itanium 2 Servers to Ensure Maximum Speed and Performance

NEC Solutions (America), Inc., a premier provider of integrated solutions for the Connected Enterprise in North America, today announced that MarketerNet, a leading multi-sourced data solutions provider, has purchased several NEC Express5800/1160Xd servers. These servers are designed to demonstrate high performance and realize both high scalability and reliability in running large scale applications and intensive computing environments. With the use of NEC high performance computing solution that includes NEC's Express5800/1000 Itanium(R) 2 server series, NEC's GlobalMaster Professional server software, and NEC's S2300 Disk Storage Array, MarketerNet is able to create a high volume of lists with the speed and accuracy required to better service their customers and deliver lists on time.

MarketerNet estimates that its investment in NEC's high performance computing solution technology will help them to process data faster than before. As a result MarketerNet anticipates it will be able to increase production by 200 percent and serve customers more effectively.

NEC's Express5800/1000 server series offers options from eight to 32 CPUs that access up to 512 gigabytes of shared main memory. While delivering the promise of high availability, reliability and affordability, the Express5800/1000 series is designed to incorporate future Itanium 2 processor families to sustain technology advancements. The provisioning and fail over capabilities of NEC's Global Master Professional enable the dynamic reconfiguration of processing elements and also provides hardware-enabled high availability features. In addition, the S2300 Disk Storage Array, a midrange model of the NEC Storage S series, supports an entire system from servers to disk drives. Some of its key features include storage consolidation and centralized management and its advanced architecture makes room for high scalability and investment protection.
