Datatrend Technologies, Inc. Is IBM Beacon Award Finalist for Outstanding Client Centric System X Solution

MINNEAPOLIS, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Datatrend Technologies, Inc. has been named a finalist in the category of "Outstanding Client Centric System x Solution" in the annual IBM Beacon Awards competition, honoring IBM Business Partners for their ingenuity, innovation, client satisfaction and outstanding achievements in providing business solutions.

Datatrend Technologies in partnership with IBM, provided the University of Vermont (UVM) with an e1350 High Performance Cluster Solution for their Vermont Advanced Computing Center (VACC). As a leading research institution, the University of Vermont has a diverse set of "customers" -- students, faculty, researchers, government agencies and numerous businesses in both the public and private sector.

The mission of the VACC is to provide an environment at the University that supports computing-related research, education, collaborations between UVM researchers and regional commercial colleagues, and technology transfer.
