Primus Telecommunications, Inc. today announced the availability of a new flat-rate calling plan that provides its Lingo digital phone subscribers with some of the lowest rates in the industry to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The new Lingo service flat-rate calling plan is offered for a monthly, recurring fee of just $29.95 and includes:
-- Low rates to South Asia -- 2.9 cents/minute to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh -- Unlimited local and long distance calls -- within the U.S. and to Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands -- Free state-of-the-art Linksys adapter -- required for Lingo service -- 20+ popular calling features -- including voicemail, call forwarding, and caller ID.
"We are very excited to offer this plan to our customers," said DG Gulati, President of Primus's U.S. Operations. "The rates we are offering to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are extremely aggressive, allowing more individuals to stay in touch with their family members, friends, and business associates."
The new plan received an enthusiastic reception at the fourth annual "Best of the Best" (BOB4) South Asian dance competition in Chicago on April 19th (http://www.bobchicago.com; www.bobtube.tv), where it was previewed to thousands of South Asians from around the country.
Primus's Lingo digital phone service was chosen as the "Editor's Pick" of the VoIP services reviewed in WIRED Magazine's Test Issue (Winter 2008). The review found Lingo to be "the most inexpensive plan," with a "tidy online manager" and "no hold time for tech support."
