Student Charged With Gun Threats on Bus, Internet
VIRGINIA BEACH
Threats made on a school bus and then on the Internet led to a student being charged with a felony, police said Thursday.
According to police, a 14-year-old Salem High School student got into an argument with other students on the bus on the way home Wednesday and threatened to bring a gun to school the next day.
The student repeated the threat on an Internet social networking site, and other students passed it along through e-mails and text messages, police said.
At about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, police took the student into custody and charged him with making threats to do bodily harm on school property, a felony.
