GREENBELT, Md., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Presidio Networked Solutions, the leading provider of IT Infrastructure Lifecycle solutions, today announced that it has been awarded Cisco(R) Powered designations in Managed Unified Communications and Managed Security. These designations recognize Presidio for meeting Cisco's requirements and procedures to deploy, manage and support Advanced Technology solutions across all regions.
"We are extremely proud of achieving the Cisco Powered designation for our Sentry Managed Service offerings," said Dave Hart, Chief Technology Officer of Presidio Networked Solutions. "This distinction speaks to Presidio's investment in advanced capabilities to serve our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their IT systems, including managing the networking infrastructure that is the lifeblood of their organizations. The Cisco Powered logo is evidence of the quality of the managed services that Presidio provides clients to help them operate and optimize their increasingly complex information technology landscape, freeing them to focus on delivering business value to their enterprise."
Cisco Powered Managed Service designation requirements are based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library(R) (ITIL) framework of best practices as well as market and industry requirements. Presidio participated in an assessment of its network operation center as a part of the Managed Service Channel Program process.
"The market is moving toward the broad adoption of managed services as companies are shifting from managing their own IT infrastructure to buying technology as a service," said Edison Peres, vice president of worldwide channels at Cisco. "With a Cisco Powered designation in Managed Unified Communications and Managed Security, Presidio has made an investment in obtaining the training, skills and knowledge necessary to play a pivotal role in meeting this increasing demand."
