Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse reportedly has been released on bail after she was arrested on drug charges.
The BBC said the 24-year-old recording artist, whose addiction to drugs has kept her in media headlines for more than a year, was released on bail after her arrest Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession.
The arrest was connected to a widely circulated video that purported to show Winehouse using drugs.
Around 1 p.m. today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on Jan. 22, a Metropolitan Police spokesman told the BBC Wednesday.
