Korea Telecom Selects Tektronix Network Assurance Solution

Tektronix Communications, a provider of communications network management solutions, has announced that Korea Telecom, a provider of multimedia services, has selected its GeoProbe network assurance solution, to test the deployment of new call-related services on its intelligent network.

GeoProbe, part of Tektronix's Unified Assurance suite of applications for management of next generation converged networks, will be used by Korea Telecom (KT) to proactively monitor, manage, diagnose and troubleshoot issues before, during and after the launch of new services over their intelligent network.

GeoProbe's real-time and historical multi-protocol call trace and online analytical processing report features are expected to provide KT an end-to-end monitoring approach, allowing them to view multiple sessions in real-time.

Kyung You, manager of advanced technology at Korea Telecom, said: "Tektronix's GeoProbe provides the passive, non-intrusive monitoring system needed to test these new calling services without affecting the service performance of the intelligent network element. GeoProbe's analysis and troubleshooting capabilities also help ensure the quality of our new services as they are rolled out to our customers."
