Tele Greenland Selects Cisco ASR 1000 Series Router
Cisco has announced that Tele Greenland, the telecommunications and postal services provider for Greenland, has transformed its data network into an IP-based network to deliver broadband internet access, telephone and video entertainment services, by deploying its ASR 1000 Series aggregation service router.
The network transformation will be implemented by NetDesign, a Cisco gold certified partner, and will be based on Cisco’s most powerful compact router, the ASR 1000 series aggregation service router.
Jorn Jespersen, chief technical officer of Tele Greenland, said: “When we evaluated the design based on Cisco’s ASR routers, we were immediately excited by the possibilities of such a powerful platform, which can deliver so many services with such a small carbon footprint. I believe this will make Greenland’s IP-based next-generation network one of the most advanced, and also one of the greenest, in the world.”
