Strangeloop Networks(TM) Inc., a leading provider of framework-specific solutions that accelerate dynamic Web applications, has been selected as a finalist for British Columbia Technology Industry Association's (BCTIA) Technology Impact Award in the most promising start-up and excellence in product innovation categories.
Awards are judged by a panel of twelve individuals recognized as experts and leaders in the technology sector. Finalists for the Most Promising Start-up are early-stage technology companies with commercially available products that demonstrate significant potential, creativity, and a promising future. For Excellence in Product Innovation, finalists were selected based on superior innovation or discovery in an advanced technology, demonstrating an alternative solution or next-stage development in technology.
The Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) is the premier awards program devoted to promoting and celebrating innovation and high-tech excellence in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1994 by BCTIA, the Technology Impact Awards are given as a mark of distinction and a celebration of outstanding leadership, innovation, and technical excellence.
"The quality of our finalists is testament to the wide range of cutting edge leadership and technological creativity that springs from British Columbia," said Pascal Spothelfer, president and chief executive officer of BCTIA. "The finalists selected have already had a positive impact in British Columbia and are destined to have an impact worldwide."
The Strangeloop AS1000 appliance for Microsoft ASP.NET and AJAX lets enterprises dramatically improve the performance and scalability of dynamic web applications by simply plugging in the AS1000 network device between a company's Web servers and the network. This easy-to-deploy appliance optimizes Microsoft ASP.NET applications by intelligently applying software optimization techniques, in real-time, in the network. The Strangeloop AS1000 is the low risk, immediate solution to the inevitable performance challenges popular ASP.NET applications face.
"We are thrilled to be selected as a finalist in these two categories. This recognition underscores the value we are bringing to companies, both large and small, who are using Microsoft ASP.NET and need to ensure their website performance," said Jonathan Bixby, chief executive officer of Strangeloop. "We are extremely proud that we have brought the AS1000 Application Scaling Appliance to market so quickly and that we are helping innovative enterprises succeed."
