May 13, 2008
Beginning this fall, Carnegie Mellon University will offer a bachelor of computer science and arts, an interdisciplinary program that explores the connection between computation and the arts.
Students will go through a sequence of full-strength computer science courses with a rigorous concentration in studio or performing arts, CMU officials said.
Eight CMU students are scheduled to transfer into the degree program, with several first-year students poised to enter the program in the fall, school officials said.
