Telstra Incorporated, the US subsidiary of Australian-based telecom services provider Telstra Corporation, has launched global enterprise collaboration services, a conference calling initiative for its customers.

According to the company, its global enterprise collaboration services (GECS) suite was built with the multinational enterprise customer in mind. The customers’ need for a global on-demand, cost-effective and reliable, collaboration platform was the main driver.

This suite of integrated collaborative tools comprises of audio and web conferencing on-demand services, automated scheduler plug-in for the Microsoft Outlook messaging software, event call services and unlimited playback recording services including podcast web URL distribution.

Will Hughs, senior vice president of product and design at Telstra Incorporated, said: “Telstra GECS allow customers to connect quickly and easily with key elements of their businesses, achieving time and cost savings. The workforce of today is dynamic and projects-based, so the need for painless collaboration has never been more acute.

“By integrating our product into familiar interfaces like the Microsoft Outlook client and MP3 players, we expect user adoption will not only increase dramatically but it will also evolve into a novel communications medium.”
