Mirror Image Internet Launches Guardian Content Protection Solution to Protect Objects and Streams From Unauthorized Use

Mirror Image(R) Internet, a leading provider of content delivery solutions powered by a patented global network, today announced the availability of Guardian Content Protection, a new service that allows customers to control access to content that is delivered through the Mirror Image network.

Guardian Content Protection is available for both Mirror Image streaming and object delivery services. It offers a highly scalable security option that protects content and bandwidth from unauthorized access. The service gives content providers the power to manage access by start and stop dates/times, user IP address, referring domain and geographical location. The token-based system avoids three-way handshakes that often result in prolonged download and start-up times and access can be authorized on-the-fly without having to modify the content itself.
