RxAmerica Partners With Google to Launch Health Product

Posted on: Tuesday, 20 May 2008, 12:00 CDT

RxAmerica, a pharmacy benefit manager, has announced its participation as an integration partner in the new Google Health product. The product allows patients to gather their medical and prescription records from various providers and organize it in one secure place on the web to create a clear picture of their healthcare.

Google Health users own the data they download, allowing them to have access to their medical history even if they change jobs or benefit providers.

Using the new integrated service, eligible RxAmerica members can securely import their prescription history into their Google Health accounts. RxAmerica's Medicare Part D membership will be the only group participating in the initial Google service through the integration. Additional clients will be phased into the program based on product performance and associated call volume.

Google Health offers consumers the ability to store, manage and own their personal health information online in a safe and secure environment.
