Golden Telecom Selected Alcatel Enterprise Solutions for a New Hospitality Project in Moscow

Alcatel (Paris:CGEP.PA and NYSE:ALA) and Golden Telecom, Inc. (NASDAQ:GLDN), a leading facilities-based provider of integrated telecommunications and Internet services in major population centers throughout Russia and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States ("CIS"), today announced the signing of a contract for the delivery of Alcatel communications solutions for hospitality in a newly built Swissotel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow.
Golden Telecom will provide full range of telecommunications services to Swissotel Krasnye Holmy including voice, data and Internet services. Russia's first five-star 34-floor hotel of the Swissotel chain will have 235 rooms, restaurants and cafes. Swissotel Krasnye Holmy is expected to be one of the most exclusive hotels in the capital.
Under the terms of this contract, Alcatel will provide its industry-leading Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise communications platform, the Alcatel 4760 network management platform, and Alcatel Mobile Reflexes(TM) DECT phones.
The equipment will be delivered by the end of April and installed by Golden Telecom at the end of second quarter 2005.
The Alcatel solution will provide the hotel's guests with efficient, check-in and check-out services, as well as enhanced voicemail and Internet services. The solution will also provide the hotel and its staff with a full range of administrative services, including room management and advanced call management.
