Microsoft is not looking to acquire all of Yahoo but is talking to the Web search and advertising company about other types of partnerships, the Microsoft chief executive, Steven Ballmer, said Wednesday, Reuters reported from Herzliya, Israel.
“We are trying to have discussions about deals with Yahoo that might create value, but not a whole acquisition of the company,” Ballmer said. He did not elaborate. Microsoft walked away from a proposal to acquire Yahoo for $47.5 billion after Yahoo rebuffed the offer.
