Legally Blonde at PPAC
Tickets for Legally Blonde the Musical, which kicks off its national tour in September at the Providence Performing Arts Center, go on sale May 31 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be available at that time at the PPAC box office, 220 Weybosset St., online at www.ppacri.org, or by calling (401) 421-2787.
The first 50 patrons who purchase tickets in person will get a Legally Blonde program book. They can also munch on free doughnuts, meet radio personalities and listen to the Coventry High School Marching Band. Manicurists will be on hand painting nails hot pink, favorite color of Legally Blonde star Elle Woods. And in a nod to Elle’s Chihuahua Bruiser (played on tour by a dog rescued from a shelter) the Providence Animal Rescue League’s adoption van will be on site.
The show is based on the movie starring Reese Witherspoon as sorority queen Elle, who after her boyfriend dumps her for someone more “serious,” proves she is no air head by signing up for Harvard Law.
Tickets for the show, which opens Sept. 21, range from $46 to $73. The box office and phone will remain open on the 31st until 3 p.m.
