Fonix to Present at Series of BPL Conferences; VP of Channel Development Will Share ''Lessons From the Field'' in Panel Discussions on BPL

Michael Britt, VP of Channel Development for Fonix Telecom, Inc., a subsidiary of Fonix(R) Corporation (OTCBB: FNIX), an integrated communications carrier providing telecommunications services and value-added speech technologies, will participate in panel discussions at two E-Source Strategic Assessment BPL Conferences, the first in Nashville, TN on April 4-5, the second in San Francisco, CA on April 7. The focus of the panels will be to discuss "Is BPL Right for Your Utility?"

Britt will contribute insights based on his experiences driving Fonix Telecom's implementation of a Broadband Over Power Lines (BPL) trial being conducted in partnership with Duke Power at a site in North Carolina.

Fonix Telecom is currently registered as LecStar Telecom and holds several FCC licenses under that name.
