AT&T Signs Voice and IP Services Contract With Bulkmatic Transport

Posted on: Friday, 30 May 2008, 12:00 CDT

AT&T has signed a new voice and IP services contract with Bulkmatic Transport. Addressing bandwidth issues and network reliability, AT&T's network solution is expected to support traffic for more than 30 domestic locations on a consolidated, integrated platform.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will deploy its Private Network Transport (PNT) solution, a fully managed network solution that runs on multiprotocol label switching technology.

According to AT&T, its PNT will offer any-to-any connectivity, providing secure access from Bulkmatic Transport's many locations. Additionally, the PNT solution's expanded bandwidth is expected to enhance the stability and convenience of VoIP applications across the platform.

David Tarra, director of information technology at Bulkmatic Transport, said: "With expanded bandwidth, our company is enhancing the ease and flexibility of our business operations. AT&T's quality products have streamlined our communications among our locations, and getting all of our network traffic on a single digital highway helps us control our costs."
